Press Release Summary = MLB America has written a letter of protest to Major League
Baseball in regard to the \"every team represented\" rule.

Press Release Body = Radnor, PA - July 8th, 2006 - On July 8th, 2006, Brandon
Mitchell, President of MLB America wrote a letter of protest to the Office of the
Commissioner of Baseball in regard to the rule that states that each team must have
a representative sent to the All-Star Game. The letter displays examples of far
superior players not being allowed to play in the All-Star game due to this rule.

America's baseball fans are displeased at Major League Baseball for not letting them
see the players they truly want to see play. The findings are derived from months
of ongoing discussion and debate at the website mlbamerica.com. According to MLB
America President Brandon Mitchell, more than 80% of fans that participated in the
polls found the rule wrong and poorly substantiated. "Because of this rule, the
fans cannot see some of the premier players all playing together," Mitchell said,
"It is clearly unacceptable."

According to the letter written to the commissioner's office, the most recent
example of a premier player being left out is that of Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt
Schilling. Curt Schilling is 10-3 thus far with a 3.63 ERA, and more than 100
strikeouts. Mark Redman, who was given a spot on the roster, is 6-4 with a 5.27
ERA.

MLB America was founded in 2003 by Mitchell to provide baseball fans with a wide
choice of news, rumors, and analysis regarding major league baseball. This site
offers a wide range of articles, research materials, and special reports for
baseball fans.
